i got problem to use the z buffer, it looks like it doesn't response at all after i selected a rendered z depth rla at the z buffer section. weird things is i get it to works on another comp. any idea?

Albert, this tutorial doesn't use the RLA format, rather he renders the depth buffer into a regular (RGB) image format. These are easier to deal with in AE.
