Starlings Study 02 - flocking using Trapcode Particular

Continuation of Starlings Study 01

This time I used the "Sprite" particle type with a 20x50 px comp as particle; a small triangle. I used Orient to Motion to make the triangles point in their direction of flight. The number of particles was set down to about 4K.

Oh wow - I created some very similar flocking bird animations using particular and form for the Unkle video "the Answer". But I had no idea you could orient particles to motion in form - d'oh!

The video's here, almost all the flocking bird shots apart from closeups are done using trapcode :)

Cool video Dan! I love the song too (although I'm not sure about the talking).

To clarify; Form doesn't support "Orient to Motion" but Particular v2 does.
