Trapcode ProLoop - new iPhone app

New type of audio loop app for iPhone and iPod Touch. Written by Jonatan Liljedahl.

Trapcode ProLoop is a powerful and flexible loop player for professional musicians as well as hobbyists. Use it as a live electronic instrument by itself or as an addition to your other gear, or just play around with it and explore the possibilities!

ProLoop comes bundled with many professional loops by Mokira (Andreas Tilliander), Håkan Lidbo, Kymatica and others. It also includes some demo sessions to get you started. But the real power comes by the fact that you can upload your own soundfiles to ProLoop through your web-browser!

Thanks for the quick reply, wav and mp3 is good for me
Just wondering too if you thought about having the ability to record quick and nasty loops with the onboard iphone mics? (though i guess you might need to be able to trim the loops or set start/end points somehow) would be a good function if possible

yes, a record function is planned. stay tuned..

Had a bit of a play now pedar.
It's a lot of fun.
I just have another couple ideas for the wishlist
A global start/stop button
and a function to take save a snapshot of the samples/settings
for later recall ( its nice that it reloads previous settings on startup now)
great stuff regardless! :)

Oops sorry,.. 'Peder'

Hey sorry i just found how to save a session
oops,,must have been a bit too tired before.

Terrible problems. I load in 60 second mp3 (low bit rate) and selected them, when I get to 3 samples or more:

a) When saving, it simply saves a blank patch
b) or when restarting the app it locks up and I have to delete the app and reload

is there some issue with longer length patches???

I really like this app especially with the latest update. The only things I feel are missing are export to aiff/wav and a global play/pause. Any chance of seeing these any time soon? Thanks

Hi great app but how do you use re copy/paste function?
What apps does it work with? Beatmaker?

Cheers.

Great app. Just wondering, will the last update (v1.2) run on the iOS3.x engine?

thanx

Hi, I'm also having problems with long files - proloop was working with some long samples loaded, but know will not open. It would be very useful to know what size files proloop can handle
Cheers

hey this looks great!

i just get cant get the file import IP to work. It starts with 169 - is this correct? IE keeps giving me a "cannot display page message"

thanks,

Mike.

hi I got it working!

mp3 files seem to have a fade at the beginning of loops which makes them sound odd, wavs are working great though!

thanks!

I do really like this app but, I am using ios 4 and can not delete any of the "bundled loops" in the way you explain. Swiping finger accross sound does nothing but load the sound. I know how it is supposed to work, cuz i do it in other apps...
PLEASE fix - I think it is broken...There definitely needs to be a way to delete sounds you don't want to use!

This is a great app which I have successfully incorporated into my live sets but I feel an update is long overdue..

I'm wondering if this project is still alive as I would and I'm sure I speak for countless others love to see a few enhancements..

1) Reverb or Delay (Global with sends)

2) Bit crunch or Distortion

3) EQ per track

4) Pitch shift or Time Stretching

5) Gesture automation of Modulation, pitch, repeat etc

6) Record internally from one track to another in realtime or Master channel (this would be fantastic)

7) pasteboard (So needed)

8) midi sync

9) Sample normalisation

10) Master Compressor

11) Pattern store and chain mode.

This would be a live performers wet dream!

Hello

Great tool, wondering if recording and exporting will be implemented. Also a master Play/Stop would be a handy feature....aside from that, all is well.

zack, we do support AudioPaste so you can paste into ProLoop (but not copy from it). See here in the manual:
